Lions Attend Village Events
Warminster Lions Club recently took its fundraising activities to Horningsham and Codford's village events. Both were great successes. The Club's Fundraising Chairman, Andrew Robinson, said: "We have been attending the Horningsham Village Fayre for many years. It is always a wonderfully busy day. In addition to this event, we were very excited to add Codford's Summer Fayre to our list of outings this year. We love to support these villages while also raising money to help the local community."
Lions Swing Into Action
Warminster Lions Club presented a cheque to Heytesbury Parish Council in May. The money was for repairs required to the village swings. A spokesperson for the Club said: "This is a very worthy cause. The children of Heytesbury will once again be able to enjoy the swings safely and spend time with their family and friends in the fresh air."
Warminster Lions Club members attended the opening of the Alzheimers Centre in Warminster. Funds raised by the Club helped to construct a memory garden in the centre.
