The Warminster Lions Club is an autonomous member of the worldwide International Association of Lions Clubs based in Chicago USA. We are a service organisation serving residents and small charities predominantly within the BA12 area; we also support disaster areas throughout the world via our Lions Clubs International Foundation. At present we have 18 members, most of whom are active within Warminster and the surrounding area.
The Club is always looking for new and younger members who want to put something back into the community by helping those less fortunate than ourselves. Membership is open to those aged 18 or over.
There are no specific requirements to becoming a member, other than being able to attend meetings once a month, and you don’t have to be known to a member to join. Any person who applies will be offered the opportunity to attend a couple of Club meetings and a committee meeting after which, if you like the Club and the Club likes you, you will be invited to join as a full member. We accept the fact that our monthly meetings may occasionally clash with your busy schedule, therefore our philosophy is your family comes first, your work comes second and Lions comes third.
The Club prides itself in the fact that we have been in existence since 1964 and in that time we have helped many hundreds of people and local charitable organisations, we also have a good social life as well, we have occasional Club dinners, social trips specifically for members and families, skittles evenings, treasure hunts and much more.
If you think you would like to support your community and be part of the largest service organisation in the world, then please contact us via this website where you can also find details of our District 105SC for South Central England, our Multiple District 105 for the United Kingdom and Lions Clubs International.
